Question of the Week Vol 6

The return of the Question of the Week! As it turns out, being in Romania has given me reason to ponder questions about everyday life, given that my everyday life has now been turned upside down and inside out.  So. I will pose them to you, world wide web. This one is simple.  Perhaps. If you could only eat one kind of food for the rest of your life, what would you choose and why? By this I mean, an ethnic variety, e.g., Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian. Not a specific food, e.g., "Chocolate chip cookies made by my grandmother" (which would like be my answer).  You can pick any "ethnicity," as it were, but you can't choose "American" and say something along the lines of  "American is the melting pot, so that means I can eat all foods." If you choose American, you're stuck with hamburgers, McDonalds, casseroles, jello, chocolate chip cookies and apple pie.  Which may be perfectly appealing to you. But don't try to pull something sneaky. I have thought much about this, and I am still wrestling with it.  But perhaps by my next QotW I will have my answer. Happy commenting.

Can BBQ be a category? And I don't mean it like northerners do, where BBQ is a synonym for "grill." No, I mean hickory-smoked meat--ribs, pulled pork, whole chickens, you name it, plus all the traditional fixins: potato salad, baked beans, cornbread, cole slaw, macaroni salad, cucumber salad, and the like, all washed down with cold tasty beer. I could eat that stuff every day for the rest of my life, easy. If BBQ doesn't count and you have to attach an ethnicity, I'll go with "Southern."

Italian- assuming it includes all the regions of Italy. I could eat pasta forever.
