Photos Around Iasi: Snow!

Well I certainly *said* I wanted snow. I didn't realize we'd get this much though. This is out my back window after (essentially) four days straight of snow the week before Christmas. I took a picture that looked nicer several days later when it was sunny. Obviously it looked nicer because the sky was BLUE, not gray. But since this is basically what Iasi looks like every day from the beginning of December until the end of February, I thought it would be better to post this picture. I think if you added up the amount of sunshine in the past 40 days it wouldn't even equal 24 hours. Thankfully I know this ends in March and is replaced by 65-75 degrees and clear blue skies every day for 40 days, so I will deal. In other news, the Romanian word for snow is zapada. Love it.

Actually there are three words in Romanian for snow: "nea", "omat", "zapada".
